Nexsis Comms and our customers are proud to have taken part in the launch of the Aquinas Foundation charity on Friday 20th April.
After sponsoring a 10 seat table, Nexsis invited their customers along to the foundation and they were happy to help with our table raising over £3000 for the charity through purchases at the auction held on the night.
The money raised will help to go towards lowering truancy and raise attainment in schools and tackle the associated problems that stem from these issues such as crime and literacy.
MD of Nexsis Comms Leon Braisby said "Nexsis Comms are a growing business and at its inception we always had strong beliefs in trying to help with local charities and people who are less privileged than ourselves. When we were asked if we would sponsor a table at the event we jumped at the chance and so did our customers and the fact that we were able to raise over £3000 at our table alone is absolutely fantastic"
Nexsis understand the need to get its own employees qualifications whilst at work and currently have 4 staff members working through industry recognised apprenticeships to help ensure they fulfil their full potential now and in the future.
Leon Braisby added "As a relatively new business we know that employing young people in our business to work and gain knowledge from the older more experienced employees will help the business grow in the future. We also know through looking for apprentices to join our business there are a lot of young people out there who are finding it difficult to secure positions so anything we can do to improve their chances in a tough climate is something close to our hearts and helping a charity like the Aquinas Foundation is definitely worth while"
